Our story
How it began.
Music Act began with Anthony Soh, who started his first job at Yamaha and stayed with the same company for some eighteen years. He loved the piano enough to earn his ABRSM grades, and to teach it in his own time. In 1999, when he decided to start his own business, Yamaha did something it rarely does: it granted a private individual a music-school licence and a dealership. Music Act became one of the first privately-owned Yamaha-licensed schools in Singapore.
That trust shaped the school that grew from it: independent, personal, and serious about music, with Yamaha's name and standard behind it. Two centres and over twenty-five years on, that remains unchanged.
